Jessica Rudd is the founder of Old Dominion Mahjong and a Certified Oh My Mahjong Instructor. She teaches beginner-friendly lessons, guided play, social gatherings, and private events throughout Northern Virginia. What began as a personal love for American Mahjong quickly grew into a passion for bringing people together around the table. Jessica loves helping new players discover the game, build confidence, and experience the friendships and community that make Mahjong so special. During the day, Jessica teaches first grade in Prince William County. In the evenings and on weekends, she gets to share one of her favorite obsessions — teaching people of all ages the joy of American Mahjong. Her patient, encouraging teaching style helps players feel comfortable from the very first lesson, whether they've never touched a tile or are looking to strengthen their skills. When she's not teaching Mahjong, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, their four sons, and their two Great Danes in Gainesville, Virginia. Through Old Dominion Mahjong, she has created a welcoming space where people can gather, learn, play, and connect. She believes there's always a seat at the table.
